MariaDB 10.3 auf Ubuntu installieren

Das nötige Repository für MariaDB 10.3 in die Sourcelist hinzufügen und installieren.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install software-properties-common
sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 0xF1656F24C74CD1D8
sudo add-apt-repository 'deb [arch=amd64] http://mirror.zol.co.zw/mariadb/repo/10.3/ubuntu bionic main'
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mariadb-server mariadb-client

Die Datenbank konfigurieren

sudo mysql_secure_installation

# Enter current password for root (enter for none): <-- press enter
# Set root password? [Y/n] <-- y
# New password: <-- Enter the new MariaDB root password here
# Re-enter new password: <-- Repeat the password
# Remove anonymous users? [Y/n] <-- y
# Disallow root login remotely? [Y/n] <-- y
# Reload privilege tables now? [Y/n] <-- y
